ORANGE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A lightning strike caused a brush fire in Orange this weekend off of Town Farm Road. Crews from throughout the area came to help contain the fire by establishing a six foot wide dirt perimeter called a “hard line.”
The fire, first reported Friday, was estimated to span over 8 acres and ran three alarms to bring in the necessary assistance and personnel to contain the fire.
Crews are expected back to the area Monday to fully extinguish the rest of the fire and remove equipment.
