BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — On Thursday, the Senate released their version of the PROTECT Act, intending to safeguard Constitutional rights for all residents by ensuring sensitive locations remain places of trust for the community, prohibiting state and local law enforcement from engaging in civil immigration enforcement, and protecting residents from violations of their Constitutional rights by federal law enforcement.
